update!

Well, where to begin? It's been so long!!!! :]

King's Island was so much fun! I loved hanging out with my girls, and listening to great music!!! I was burnt to a crisp...all because I forgot sunscreen one morning. I was peeling for weeks after I got home. And of course my all time Favorite was Family Force 5...seen above! They are so much fun! What I really liked about them this time was that after their set, the bass player wanted to pray with us. Which was amazing!

I got home and at the beginning of August I Finally started at Huntington. It's been a fun experience. After working there 2 months ( and being the 1 of 3 teachers that has stayed after being trained) I got a promotion and I'm currently training to be an Assistant Director. . I still get to work as a teacher, but I get to AD every Friday and every other Saturday.

The Circus came to town! That was so much fun! It was a very small little circus, but we had a blast! We got to see all the animals before we went to the show and we sat ring side! The elephants were right in front of us!!!! :]

School started and I got put onto a couple of sub lists. I havent been subbing much, which is a huge disappointment. I did start coaching Volleyball at Trinity, which is where I went to grade school. That was so much fun! I get to work with my teachers as a professional which is highly strange. But I love it! And my team was so much fun! The girls are a blast and we are all facebook friends! They think I'm pretty much the coolest person they know. I mean I am right? ;] I miss the girls tons! I'm currently "coaching" basketball. My work schedule has not allowed very much coaching to get done, good for my wallet, not good for my team. Good thing I'm just an assistant. I think I'm going to have to give it up. So sad. :[
Then Homecoming happened!!!! Ahh such a fun weekend! I got to see my sisters again, which I was starting to really miss a few of them! but really I also had lots of fun with my girls again too! It was a much neeeded weekend away...again! lol It was fun being back, but it was really weird. Like I knew what it was like to go back after a break, but not after not being there for 6 months! CRAZY! I loved it, but I do really miss it!

I crashed at Chris and Marlene's house. I loved spending time with them. They are some great people. I am so blessed for having them in my life. They are so supportive of me and whatever I want to do with my life.

Alexandria Jade was so much fun to be with! She is getting so big, and beautiful, and happy!

Everytime she fell asleep or I left and came back and she hadn't seen me in a few hours, after she saw me, she was all smiles. She is the most beautiful baby I have ever seen! But of course I might be biased since I'm her Auntie Amy and her Godmother! teehee. But really she is so much fun to be around! I love her to pieces and the tuesday after I left, Marlene said She really missed me! poor thing!

We also decided not to do our Christmas program this year to help out needy families in the area because we ended up leaving our church rather abruptly.  I feel bad that we are not helping all those needy families this year in the same capacity. We did take all the stuff to the families to be distributed to them, just in a different manner. It's sad to see happen, but when we find a new church, we are going to be looking for a church that will be willing to support this program and we will start over again from scratch.

I got an iPhone too! I was way excited when Apple announced that Sprint was going to carry it! Now I am all apple products! I love Apple and I love that all of my Apple products work so flawlessly together! Seriously, I'm in love!

Since Today is techniqully Thanksgiving, I'm going to List a few things I'm very thankful for!

1. Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. God your the bomb diggty dude! :]
2. My loving Parents and Family. Without them I wouldn't be able to get where I am today.
3. My super supportive friends, like Amanda, Ilona, Chris, Mar, Shae, just to name a few. Its always so refreshing to know that I have friends that support me in what I want to do. That Will still stay in contact with my when I move to where ever I may end up some day. I love them and they love me back.
4. My Job. While It may not be what I wanted to be doing right now, and it may not pay much, its still a job. Lots of people this holiday season are without jobs and I am so lucky that I found one that I like and is in my career choice!
5. My Christian music. I wouldn't be able to be where I am now (especially now that I don't have a church). I thank God every day for bands like FF5, Relient K, Owl City, House of Heroes, Skillet, TobyMac, and many more that help keep me grounded and focused on Jesus Christ.
6. My scrapbooking abilities and talents that can be used to teach others and get paid!!!! ;]
7. My Education. I would be so lost without it right now...although it's not really helping me in the job area at the moment..cough cough.
8. That it is finally Thanksgiving making it socially acceptable to listen to Christmas Music!!
9. RadioU. They are the bomb and I love hearing their God messages. <3
10. My Sisters and Sorority family (Shoalas Unite!!). As much as I despised being in a sorority, I love that I have so many amazing sisters in my life. They will be with me no matter what. Love in AOT! :]

That's about all I can think about right now. I'm going to bed because I don't want to miss the parade in the am!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Much love and Peace.

Pepsi Refresh project: Whole Hearts

Hi Everyone!

I hope you can all take time to vote for this project! It is really easy to do! Go to the below link, sign in (you can sign in with your facebook and its super easy and they DO NOT spam you!) or make an account and vote. You can also send a text to 73774 with the following message 107706

Also, If you drink Pepsi Products, you can use the Power Votes found on Pepsi products. However I am unsure of how to do this, since I drink Coke.....you would have to look online to see how this is done.

This is a foundation started by Matt Hammit, the lead singer for Sanctus Real (Really awesome Christian band based out of Toledo!!) after his son was born with "half a heart." Bowen (his son) is about 9 months old and has undergone and survived 2 open heart surgeries already. You can read the full story here: www.bowensheart.com

Whole Hearts is currently number 25 and needs to be in the top 10 spots to get a chance at the money. If you can take the time to vote and even pass this along to help the organization that would be fantastic.

Thanks so much! :]

insomniaaaaaaa.

So It's 1:45 am in my part of the world. I can't sleep. I get soooo tired and then the second my head hits that pillow, BAM I'm wide awake. So I thought I'd update my one follower (yeah Jenna!! lol) and the world reading my blog...pssst.

lets see, I got a part time job working as a teacher at the huntington learning center. I dont start for a few weeks, with it being the week of the fourth now, and the owner going on vacation next week, it'll be a long time before I'm earning money. But I will be alright, I dont care its gonna be a great opportunity. They are really willing work with me in the future should I get another real job.

I have an interview thursday for a teachers aide position at an autism school. I spent my student teaching placement with 3 kids with autism. I loved it and want to go back to school to get my special education endorsement with a focus in autism. I think it will be a looooooooooong time before i go back for that. and it for sure wont be at Witt, I' done with that place for a while. However, if i get this job i will get a great feel if i really want to work with children with autism.

This week I'm going on a mini vacation! I'm going to Kings Island for a 3 day long concert with my friends! we are going to spend the night, chill out, and rock out. I'm so excited to go and be with my friends! not that I dont love it at home, but I need to get away! I'm really excited to go to a concert with people who actually LOVE the bands we are seeing! I'm excited to go see Family Force 5 the most......because they have sweet southern accents, love God, and are so much fun! seriously i think i am a southern girl at heart. i love the heat, the accents, everything about it all! ahhhh take me to the south!!!!! :]

Also i am looking at getting a new car. It's been fun looking at cars. I have it narrowed down to a honda CR-V and a ford escape. I love them both. The ford is way nicer, and has way more features than the honda, but i just love the honda! i think the super hot honda salesman has something to do with it a little bit too! ha not really but really. i'm hoping if i get the job as a teachers aide then i will have enough money to buy the car like next week! hey, Dreams can come true!

that is all for now! I'll probably post sometime soon about my crazy adventures and my super giant excitement about the concert this weekend! :]

peace.

SSSSSSSUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMEEEEERRRRRRR

Well, Its summer, so that means I'm officially a GRADUATE of Wittenberg University! That also means I have my Teaching License! Thats a little bit scary to believe! :]

I've moved back in with my parents, thats been an adventure getting used to their living habits again! You get so used to living on your own and doing your own things, its like culture shock! lol but i love them anyway!

I dont have a job yet, either summer or big girl. I've looked everywhere and applied everywhere. I just wish I had some leads! ughhhhhh! but It is all in God's hands and I'm fully trusting him with it all.

I'm loving sleeping in and relaxing for a bit before life gets real crazy later in the summer!

I'm going to Springfield and Enon in the morning! I'm going to go beg for a job at Enon Elem.! hahahaha! I'm hoping I will get to see my kiddies!!! :] I also have a TON of things to do on campus and I'm going to go to McMuRray's to get me some original BAR FRIES!!! Yeah, I'd be jealous too! ;]

Then I'm going to head to Columbus to get my nails redone, hit up my hotel, and see my girls! I'm spending the night in Columbus so I can go to Chris and Marlene's Grad party! Tomorrow night I'm going to see Ashley and Ilona! We will be shopping and eatting dinner! so excited to see my girlies!

Saturday I get to spend the day in London to see Chris, Mar, Alex, and all my friends from down there! I cant wait to see all my friends and be able to NOT stress about homework and school work and freak out that instead of having a good time with friends and relaxing, I should have been working. What a nice and relaxing weekend! :]

Sunday I'll be back in the 419 to go to church in the morning, where I will be honored for graduation! Should be interesting!

Weel that is all for now! :]

Peace,
Amy

GREAT WEEEEEEK!

I know its only Wednesday and Im already saying its a great week! BUT it really is! It started off HORRIBLE to say the least. Let's just say there were some inappropriate, rude, and hateful things said to me on Monday at my school in the teachers lounge. I was so upset, i just cried all night monday night. Which was after horrible Sunday night of constant crying, over everything. i was in one of those moods Sunday.

Then Tuesday Rolled around and it went fabulously! I had a FANTASTIC day at school with my kids! then i went to community service and that was fun again! i loved seeing all my friends there, both the kids and the adults! I bonded with the new kids, and we had so much fun.

I then met with my supervisor about the incident on Monday. He was just as upset to hear about it as I was, and assured me that I would indeed be graduating (my co-op told me i wouldn't be) and that i was an amazing teacher! what a great feeling! He boosted my confidence up, and told me that I was too good of a teacher to not graduate and not get my license.

WOW! felt wonderful!

I turned in my final project (that is super big) and it feels amazing knowing that I am DONE! YESSSSS! :]

Now I am trying to get through all my homework for tomorrow and friday done now so i can relax tomorrow night and get ready for my car wash!

NOW to use this as an AD agency.....

I am having a carwash on Saturday (Weather permitting!) in Springfield Ohio at 225 Fountain Ave. (Wittenberg's Physical plant parking lot) to raise money for heart disease and prevention. The money will be donated in loving memory of my Grandparents Irene and John Gallant.

If you would like to donate online, go to this website"

http://honor.americanheart.org/site/TR?team_id=190898&fr_id=1150&pg=team

It'd be really cool if my readers (HA!) would donate. Like i have readers!

Adios amigos!

:/

Today has been SUCH a long day!

It started off by going to bed at 12:30. I then got up about 4:30 AM to get ready for the job fair.

Ashley and I left Witt at 5:45 to pick up Shannon and Rachel on the way to Easton for the fair.

We got there at 7:15 and there were already almost 300 people there! We stood in a long line until 8 at which point they let us go into and meet the interviewers from the different schools districts. It was SO overwhelming with all those people there! I just freaked out! lol

I ended up giving out a bunch of resumes to school districts that were not able to fit me in for an interview. I also signed up for 5 interviews to be had throughout the day. The first one went terrible and the lady was so rude! So I'm not real concerned with how I did because the more I hear about the school, the more I find I do NOT want to be in that district. Then I had a group informational session for Jefferson County schools in Ky! That was great and I really feel like that would be a great place to teach! I am def going to apply there this weekend. The one woman told me that if she were still a principal, she would have hired me ON THE SPOT!!! I was super excited about that!

The third interview was for Columbus City schools. This was interesting, because the interview was different, but he told me he really wanted to see me finish the interview. So I think that I did really well!

The fourth interview was AMAZING!!!! It was for the school district that we live in! Because I am a Witt student and know all about the school district, the interviewer was so excited to see me! She really wanted me to fill out an application for the school. I think I got that job just based on where i graduated.

I cancelled the last interview because the school turned out to be just a daycare. I am not paying $45,000 a year to become a babysitter!

overall it was a great day! now I am ready to crash and go to sleep, but I have work to do and it is 10:30pm! ugh. off to get my work done and to go to bed!

seeeeeeeeee ya!

Back to school....

This past week I was on Spring Break! It was so nice to not be at Witt, doing school work, teaching, or staying up until 2:30 am (ummmmm yeah) doing work. But because i slacked and did little work last week, I'm paying for it tonight. However I am working ahead, so I will be able to go to bed Early tomorrow night (really tonight!) BUt I do have to get up even EARLIER for the Job Fair in Columbus Tuesday.

Should be fun and there are a TON of school districts going who want generalist peeps...which is me! yeah! but anyway. just needed a break and to also feel important by blogging.

Oh also Formal was amazing!!!! Had tons of fun and was there was a photo booth! I got 7 strips of photos...needless to say we got our money's worth! lol Today was the Senior KD lunch with Alum from the Dayton area, twas fun and we got our senior stoles (sp?). anyway it was sad because they were welcoming us into their group of alum. I am so ready to get out of here and get a real job, but I am actually going to miss college, my friends, and my sisters. As much as i hate all the requirements and stuff, its worth it to be with all these wonderful girls who love me for me! sidetrack! but anyway, I put my stole up on my bookshelf as a decoration until graduation. What else am I suppose to do with it? besides, it will help remind me every morning that we are closer and closer to the end of this chapter and beginning of a new chapter! <3

on the plus side there are only 39 more days until graduation!

NIGHT WORLD! :]

FORMAL!

Well tonight is formal! So excited to go and hang out with my friends and Family (yeah shoalas!!)! its going to be a great time!

Saw my cousin Randall today for the last time for about a year. He is in the army and I don't get to see him that often as he lives in Germany. He will be going back there in a few weeks before I can  go home again. Since he was hurt he won't be going back into combat (hopefully) but if he finishes his contract, he will be there for 3 more years at a desk job. who knows what will happen to him, but i trust that God is keeping him safe.

In other news I got a letter today! yay for Andy for sending me a letter and feeling important!!!! :] well thats about it!

Adios!
